Furnishing Project - Perth, Australia

This clean design of a beautifully decorated home is in Perth, Australia. Personal influences had given inspiration to the designer. Donna, Marge's sister-in-law, had requested the expertise of Debarge Designs as soon as she acquired a sub-urban, 3-br 2-bath home. The final design in the living room exhibited the imaginarium of a spa. Giving that peaceful sense of serenity. The bamboo backdrop, lighted with under-cabinet led track lights, gave good overall ambient to the room. But you wouldn't guess, the bamboo backdrop function was a room-divider. Instead, they used it as a wall fixture. Very innovative and clever design. Color hues remain in the shades of beige, as it presents the softness of brown. Playing with black furniture and crystal chandeliers, distinct features mold the interior with in vogue character. The kitchen and dining room were installed with fine elements like a designer chandelier, beveled mirror, modern shelvings,a 70s-look bar stool to add fun and pizzazz. Of course, accent lighting over the counter is also added, which you can't do without. With the help of new friends, Marge had so much fun with this project.

Another Forbeswood Interior Project

Lighting defines an interior. It can turn a room into a small stage or highlight a cozy corner. The right lighting is one of the most important aspects of achieving atmosphere in a home. Marge, the designer, had visualized the match of each lighting fixture in each corner of this condo. As you enter the home, it greets you with an impressive foyer. May the foyer be any size, the design of having an attractive center piece, art deco furniture and a classy mirror will convey a welcoming feeling into a fine hotel-like domain to anyone who enters. The hues of gray had been the focus in this project but the linearity design gave character to each furniture.

Designer's Own Kitchen

This kitchen will take home honors in a National Kitchen Design and Renovation contest if it was registered. It was remodelled with a design for professional chefs and at-home connossieurs who love to cook. Like the designer.

The stainless steel tile backsplash with a mosaic pattern helps to visually broaden the room, while integrated appliances contribute to the open feeling.

Although flooring by nature exists to be stepped upon, floors can and should do more than be durable. Whether wood, laminate, tile or stone is your material of choice, the kitchen floor adds color and character to the room. It also unites the kitchen with, or distinguishes it from adjoining areas. As one of the largest visible surfaces, flooring has a huge impact on a kitchen's design. For this kitchen, the designer choose ceramic tile with a faux wood plank design. The floor is in it's best look as well as its easy maintenance and easy to clean.

In addition, the faux wood plank design contrasts the white raised panel cabinetry with stainless handles. With the help of added lighting fixture under the cabinets, it raised an effect of a floating imagery with the designer's emphasis on the wood flooring's dramatic effect.

The use of copper, antique bronze, and granite, as well as the stainless mosaic tile backsplash that alludes to the weave in a basket, create a medley of texture, sheen and color that gives visual punch to this space, the Designer's Kitchen.

Kitchen Renovation

Kitchens of the past and today are very different. In the old days, kitchen offers an extra counter space. At that time, kitchens were smaller and you should be able to do a lot of improvisation to a great meal.

In today’s kitchens, often there is plenty of opened space. Not only institutionalize the purpose of a kitchen but share it with dinning area for easy food distribution . In various styles, from rustic to refined chef cooking, even industrial design, kitchen can go with everything your kitchen is, though gourmet stove and Sub Zero freezer to have as well as have your family enjoy the preparation.

The dining chairs were hand-picked by the designer to complete the ensemble of this project. The wood gave another textured impression to the entire area.

Pasig Home Project

Designer Profile on Homes that will think they are Hotel Villas...

When designer Marge Matutina and Architect Debbie Matutina are called upon to create interiors for a room, it is usually for bathrooms, bedrooms and condos, since she has a reputation of transforming small spaces into spectacular, livable spaces. It became somewhat of a challenge then to fulfill the needs of clients who have big houses/ or new houses without interiors and wanted it to be everything a home would be.

Here is their first big project, where they completely achieved what was expected of them. They know how to use color. Interest points that can be expressed with color placements. They have chosen colors, lines, textures and designs for the client and had never had one say it was a mistake. Of course, the final say is the client's.

Debarge believes that the relationship between the client and the designers should be an open one, with lots of honest communication. Debarge is here to help develop and realize the visions for your home.

Bed and Bath in Cainta

A renovation done at the Matutina Residence located in Cainta. This room was given as a gift to the mother and had carefully designed the interior exactly for her need. As you can see the bathroom and powder room had brought that feeling of a Zen hotel spa where you can spend more time to rejuvinate and meditate.

Mati's Bedroom

This bedroom in Project 7, renovated for Patty, was transformed to an exquisite contemporary personal space. The designer had given this room elegance and simplicity without compromising functionality. As you have noticed, the bedstead had given a dimension creating another section to the room. Just brilliant!
